Matt Clark, owner and CEO of Land and Sea Group said,
‘Land and Sea will occupy a premium location on Exmouth Marina, with views overlooking both the marina development and boat moorings as well as far-reaching estuary views and over to Dawlish Warren.’
The Land and Sea concept is inspired by classic dishes from around the world, served in a relaxed, nautical environment. The site in Exmouth and new locations across the south-west will primarily be waterside locations.
Formerly the Point restaurant, the Land and Sea brand will reinvigorate the existing site on Exmouth Marina. As well as a brand new menu serving classics like seafood linguine in a rich seafood sauce with whole jumbo prawns and mussels, crowd-pleasers like Moules Marinières, Tuna Nicoise and Caesar salads, whole lobsters and seafood platters feature on the seasonal specials board
Matt added
‘This site has always enjoyed high footfall because the marina and nearby beaches are such a draw for locals and tourists alike as well as people getting off the local ferry and sightseeing boats. We can serve over 120 customers across our restaurant and outdoor terrace. The team and I can’t wait to welcome customers in to see the new interior and more importantly serve them delicious dishes from the new menu.’
Meat lovers will find Himalayan salt, dry-aged beef on site including a Chateaubriand for two, Morrocan Lamb Tagine and of course a gourmet smash burger. There is plenty for vegetarians and vegans to choose from including padron peppers with red onion petals and miso mayonnaise, chilled gazpacho, vegan courgette and spinach linguine and banana flower fish and chips as well as lots of gluten free options.
Land and Sea and will roll out across the South West over the next couple of years. With a focus on using local, sustainable seafood, meat and game in British and international classic dishes. Interiors are inspired by the heritage of the 1990’s chop house with bare wood tables, premium linen and glassware in an environment with a nautical feel. Cool blues, fresh flowers and plants and premium drinks including Salcombe gin.
Coming shortly afterwards will be Land and Sea Street, a pared back feel offering more casual dining, with the first 2 UK sites coming Summer 2024.
